Hi All,

You may have heard that sadly, last night, the Actor and Comedian Robin Williams died of an apparent suicide (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-28749702). Some of you may not know who he was, others may feel that this doesn't impact them in any way, and a few more may well ask 'why is Gareth mentioning this on a gaming forum' (albeit in the 'Off-Topic' section).

I'm writing this as, I believe, that there will be a large number of people who have been affected greatly by his death and there may even be a few whose minds may be set on a negative path because of it. The important thing at this point is the support structure for those who are affected by events like this in their life, and a gaming community is often massively influential in helping people through bad times. It's the stability of friends and fellow gamers we meet here which can be an escape from issues in our real life and, whilst it's not the solution, a positive and friendly environment can certainly help. Many people don't realise how important 'rocks' like SG are and, whilst it can be a negative outlet for some, for others its a massively positive one.

So, lets continue to be the awesome community we are and support those around us through having fun :)

HFGL

Gareth

Ohhh Suicide.

Why do so many of my favorite people go out like that?

This might (most probably) be all you have.
