As I read the descriptions written on the four cards we currently have information of, I noticed it: equipment.

Nightly Sinner is able to _steal_ equipment from the unit it attacks.
So it made me think, how much equipment would a unit be able to wear.

Will there be total slot amount? Or would each unit have one or more slots on its own?

well if the Nightly Sinner can steal from the unit it attacks every times it attacks, the equipment cant be worth alot can it? if that is correct you may carry around multiple slots of equipment. It would kinda suck to have used hours to get a unique equipment and then get attacked by a Nightly Sinner and get i stolen ;)

Maybe there's only a small change the Nightly Sinner can steal something, or maybe there is some sort of level/exp. needed to steal an item with a certain value?

Hmm, what I'm thinking is that not only units are scrolls, perhaps weaponry such as swords and power-ups are available in scroll form too?

well, they said there would be around a couple of thousand scrolls, so that is possible.

Everything's probably going to be scroll format; at least the things you can summon, create or call forward (however you wish to call it).

I wonder how many weapons a unit's able to wield though. I remember card games where you could stuff your unit with so many power-ups that it went from some small unit to overkill master.

Yeah. As fun as it is crushing your opponent with a 1/1 creature wielding a bow, a mace and 3 swords, it doesn't feel quite right. :p

I hope they'll go for a more realistic approach, maybe even have visible equipment slots, like head, chest, left arm, right arm, etc. Seeing as it isn't going to be a real CCG, they can afford to add video game elements like this that would otherwise make it too complex for a tabletop game.

Most likely that equipment will be scrolls.

@Kristian: One thing to keep in mind when discussing CCG's is that Wording is God. Nightly Sinner's wording doesn't say there's a chance, so there won't.

@Nalp777: Nightly Sinner won't steal the scroll, just the equipment. Basically, if you have a +7 Sword of Awesome and a Nightly Sinner manages to steal it, you'll get it back at the end of the match.

(Probably. I haven't played, but that's just logic)

Yes wording is key in ccgs. and I figure the same is true about losing for the match then getting back at end.

I was hoping that for creature scrolls there would be a limit to how much gear you could put on your creature or maybe add a varying limit to diffrent creatures such as "nightly sinner" can equipt 1 peice of equiptment while "Abuser" can equipt 3 peices of equiptment.

I'm kind of hoping there isn't a limit to the amount of equipment you can equip. That would make Nightly Sinner less viable as he'll only be able to steal a couple of equipments and he's suddenly less worth it as an investment.

I know my Kor deck revolves around equipping my Armament Master with two Grappling Hooks, four Bonesaws, a Whispersilk Cloak, two Spidersilk Nets and an Explorer's Scope. I'd have a pile of useless cards if he could only equip three things.

For people who cant speak magic the gathering speak:
I know my magic the gathering revolves around equpping my [place monster name here] with [place equiptment here]
Why I would put a limit on it is because without a limit you could equipt like the worst scroll in the scrolliverse and just equipt it with like huge amounts of gear and if there was a limit I would use it against someone who's creature is built out of gear if you take that gear you can effectivly
(1 make your scroll better
(2 Make your enemy's scroll more vunrable to attack.

That wasn't really meant to be understood. It was more of a joke and if you understood it than you can laugh.

Equipment most certainly won't be free. If you choose to equip 6 things to one scroll, you still have to pay the resources for it.

I'm not really going to take an absolute stance on this until we have some idea on what the equipment will do. Right now I'm blending M:tG with Scrolls and that's only going to cloud my judgment.

Hmm, well I am opposed to unlimited until I start seeing some equptment scrolls I wont be opposed to it if some thing along the lines of this came up
