 Post subject: Potentially Unbeatable Combo

I was just looking on the wiki and I saw these two cards. As I said in the description I think their unbeatable together but correct me if im wrong. It uses Walking Stones as a wall then placing Plate Armor on it. It uses a wall so its not amazing for attacking but if im right then you can clear off an idol not letting them attack.

Walking Stones says:

All damage done to Walking Stones is reduced to 1.


Plate Armor says:
Quote:
All damage to enchanted unit decrease by one.


So the damage would be decreased to 1 but then be decreased by 1 making it 0 damage every time. It could potentially be decreased by 1 and then to 1 damage but I dont think so.

Walls almost certainly won't be able to use Enchantments. :(

I don't think they count as units. It would be really cheap to use those two together, anyways. An invincible wall behind all your attacking units... It would only cost 5 Order, too... I really hope for the sake of strategy that this doesn't work.

Pretty interesting thing... Even if this would work in closed alpha, I think they'd fix it sooner or later. However, let's imagine you could use enchantments on walls, depending on the oder in which the effects work, it's not said that the combo will work at all. As you mentioned maybe the enchantment effect triggers first. So that would reduce the damage to "1" if being attacked.

I see what you're trying to say, that anything on the field is a 'unit', but no. I think Mojang specifically meant actual Units, rather than pieces on the game board. It's interesting, though, because they do use the word 'unit' that way on other scrolls like Thunder Surge. Ultimately, this is a mistake of ambiguity on their end, and is something they'll correct for during the Alpha.

I'd say it gets one damage even if you can enchant it.
(At least that's how I think it should be)

The armor reduces the damage by one and then the walls effect kicks in and decreases it further to one.
If it's already at zero because of the armor than it stays zero obviously.

Since we can't say which effect triggers first, let's just wait and see
