The other new trials have been beatable, but Pestilence is giving me a headache. I've been trying to block with structures, but that just gives the AI even more units. For only direct damage, the AI is too quick, I think? Will try E/O direct damage with all the blocking I can think of, but any ideas are welcome :-)

I almost completed it with my Energy Order deck specifically made for that challenge. Mostly Energy, the key is potion of resistance and a lot of removal. The problem is that the strategy i was using is mostly based around luck, if i don't have 2x potion of resistance and some cheap structures early (i even used useless contraption) i am dead.

Beat it with a structure-heavy Energy deck, only 12 creatures. I got lucky and killed all three rats with one Stormrunner+Iron Whip+Focus on the 4th turn, I think. From then on, I used charge coils, ether pumps, destroyers, thunder surge. Might have used Fury in addition to Bombard... I forget.

Another tactic I was trying was to play a Copper Auto on the first turn to take out one rat, but it was countered by that -5 attack spell most of the time. Still, I think it's a good start if the computer doesn't have that scroll.

I will try this, too. Structures, Removal, Giant. I guess I don't mind having to depend on luck and a few tries, this may be too powerful to simply find a guaranteed win strategy.

[EDIT] Forget my previous post. I finally beat Pestilence with this deck:

You will need to surrender if you don't have a Copper Automaton in your opening hand to take out a rat ASAP. If they cast Atrophy on the Copper Automaton, you might as well surrender. Here is my replay of the penultimate trial:

I just beat it just now with a less than optimized deck. If I had to do it again, I probably would use something more like:

Since I'm about to give up with my Decks, I will try yours. Why Tick Bomb, though? The AI doesn't use structures .... Just to get rid of your own structures with Searing Shackles on them?

Edit: I am giving up for now, I have tried this about twenty times with various decks, I got the farthest with a ME using Coppers and lots of removal. Can Order or Growth solve this, because they are faster? Maybe I will try an Mono-Growth rush and see how it goes ...

Beat it with this deck, it only took a few tries. Feel free to swap god hand and champion ring for other scrolls (sister of the bear comes to mind).

Went back and beat it again to get the video. Took 4 more tries.

Your goal is to get to 6 resources and frost gale and quake. However you have to survive until then.

And you do that by using frost gale to kill any new rats the ai drops. Don't play creatures on the turn before the ai attacks, but only after a turn that they attack. Also, until you are able to clear the 3 big rats you have to kill your units before the ai attacks. So, nutrition and fertile soil are your friends.

For instance, play sister on a turn after they attack (turn 3 is the first time you can play her safely) then turn 4 before the ai attacks, fertile soil. Thus no new rats are generated.

Binding root and dryadic are great to keep the rats in lanes that you are giving up idols. I try to keep them in lanes 2 and 4 so I only have to defend 3 individual rows.

Druid is for after you clear out the board to have a wall to keep your remaining low health idols safe.

Good luck! You will need it!

I just beat Pestilence, thank you for the deck list. I beat it in 3 tries, and I won without having a Copper Automaton to start off, instead getting 2 Magma Packs. It cost me 2 idols almost immediately, but the AI using Searing Shackles as creature removal is what let me win the game.
I never really used Proximity Mines too much because Decay (and hence the Trial AI) has a few ranged units. The Useless Contraptions saved my life. :)

[Going to upload a video of the replay for anyone interested]

I just completed this using a modified version of my the deck posted above. Cleared it the first try with this deck, after losing a few with the above deck. I was really lucky this try though as the CPU didn't even do anything for a few turns.

I beat it by turn 1 copper, then used magma pack on the two other rats. After that I just put out Proximity charges, cleared the board with removal and started to protect my idols with Destroyer + Iron Whip, Ether Pump + Potion of Resistance.

Then finished with Copper & Gun Automatons, Gravelock Elders with Concentrate Fire and Magma Pack. I'd say Thunder Surge and Inferno Blast were the biggest game changers in terms of surviving until he ran out of steam.

Well, I finally beat it using this deck:

http://www.scrollsguide.com/deckbuilder/#7652

Using this strategy used adognamedsally posted on reddit:

http://www.reddit.com/r/Scrolls/comment ... ce/cbxazld

I have totally decked my Plays/Wins/Surrendered ratio ... but I beat it.

beat it with Warrender's energy deck, I think I did some mistakes here and there (like killing my own cursed scattergunner with iron whip) but I did it in the end.
also a weird thing happed: the AI actually helped me by casting hex marks on my scattergunner, lol :D

I beat it pretty easily using Saxelfurs deck but I drew more or less the perfect cards for it. Took me about 5 tries with that deck.

Forget the exact deck list but it was very similar to all of yours it was actually underwhelming that instead of awesome strategy the way to beat it was to be lucky.

tbh its going to require luck anyway. The starting conditions are so unfair that it's not going to be something you can do consistently.
