I don't play much ranked, but I do like enchantments in my decks and seeing scrolls like Swirling Smoke and Oppressor's Rule makes me wonder whether enchantment hate was put in for a reason, because I personally consider enchantments to generally be more risk for a similar or lower payoff than regular spells or units (I just like buffing creatures).

Now I haven't seen these scrolls in play but they read as if they destroy all enchantments on all units they affect. If true, then easily available (2 :order or 2 :decay ) enchantment hate might make enchantments all but unviable.

Well, except Eternal Sword, perhaps.

One last thought: maybe some new mechanic or scrolls could come into play to somewhat counter enchantment hate, like a lingering spell which refunds some resources or draws a card for each enchantment destroyed.

---

-edit- Oppressor's rule: Units on one side of a row have their Move decreased by 1 until end of their turn. Any attached enchantments are destroyed.

Swirling Smoke: Target creature and connected creatures have their Countdown increased by 1. Any attached enchantments are destroyed.
