How to make your own Scrolls card
Date: Mon 21 Mar, 2011 Views: 1104
--Card template download is at the bottom of this page--

Step one:
Find or create an image you like to put on the card. Make sure the image is rendered, This means that there is no background on the image.

Step two:
Copy this image and place it just above the backgorund, the second last layer. It"s indicated with "Place Image Here"

Step three:
Make your own cost icons. Just get some icons from google for gold, wood, stone, laptops, brushed, whatever.

If you have more than 1 icon, then merge these together by selecting the layers (ctrl+click) and pressing ctrl+M (or rightclick -> merge)
You can give this layer some shadow or black outer glow to make it blend more in the background.
Make sure these icons are also rendered images. If you don"t want to use the three laptops I put in the template as cost icons, then delete them and place your own icon on this place.
When you delete this layer, you"ll see that the two arrows on map 1 and map2 will dissapear. you can get this back by first rightclick on map1 and choose "create clipping mask", and then repeat for map 2.

Step four:
Change the names, descriptions, stats etc

Now your own Scrolls Card is done!

In case your computer doesn"t recognize the font (you can"t edit the text layer), you have to install it manually. Download the font as given in the resources, save it to your desktop and copy it to "C:/windows/fonts".
