Scrolls Alpha is really close now: the CEO of Mojang, Carl Manneh, just tweeted that the Scrolls team 'started gluing stuff together' today. As far as we can tell, this means they're linking the website and the game together, and finishing the last batch of fixes before it's ready for the public.
In other news, Mojang settled with Bethesda this week. While this means they will be able to use Scrolls for the title for their current game, they will not have the Scrolls trademark. Fortunately, this lawsuit has only been a minor setback in development, and the Scrolls team had never considered an alternate name for the game.
Scrolls has been in development for over a year; all of the highlights are covered here.
Stay tuned for our interview with Jakob, coming 'soon'.
