Idol
Idols are objects that represent a player's health and are placed on the far edge of each side of the game board. They take damage just as any unit. When they have taken equal or more damage than their Health is, they are destroyed. In a typical match of Scrolls, players start with five idols each. To win, one must destroy three of these five idols.

Appearance
There are several visually different idols. You can select the idol you want to use in the profile menu. Every player starts with two default idols, but more can be purchased in the store. However, there are only two idols available for purchase each week. After seven days, two other idols rotate into the slots. These two idols are identical for every player, and may also include idols which have already been purchased. Once an idol is purchased, it remains available to the player forever.
The appearance of idols changes when they are damaged: the more damage they've received, the more cracks that appear.

History
- Originally, idols were represented as crystals. At Minecon 2011, it was shown that they where changed into their current version.
- In the 0.112 beta version, Mojang experimented with different configurations of idol health in the Testing Grounds, to allow for quicker games.
